Goals and Sponsors
The purpose of this blog is to chronicle all things food related at the Woolwich Central School during 2009. With the support of FARMS (Focus on Agriculture in Rural Maine Schools) we have recently been granted funding from the Flannel Shirt Fund to conduct a series of local, organic food taste tests and school-wide snacks. In addition, the Help-A-Kid program of the RSU 1 has agreed to fund an after school cooking club, The Chefs of Woolwich. Finally, Mid Coast Hospital funded a Family Activity Night (FAN) at Woolwich, which will also be catalogued here. The goals of these intiatives are to increase the overall health and well-being of our community.
